An Exhibition of works by Westmeath Artist, Chris Quinlan opens in the County Buildings, November 27th 2017, with
official launch on Thursday 30th November at 6.00pm with a wine and cheese reception.
Chris Quinlan is a dynamic impressionist artist originally from Co. Tipperary but now living in Kilbeggan.
He uses multiple mediums to create his artistic expressions but predominantly specialises in oil on canvas, using a vibrant kaleidoscope of colours
to capture the beauty & essence of nature with a deep textured design.
The new collection is inspired by the beautiful landscape in the heart of our Irish midlands. This collection is the artist's impression of the many
lakes, landscapes and historical landmarks in Co. Westmeath. With his unique impressionistic style and technique, Chris expresses his emotions through
the fragmentation of texture and colour, especially at this wonderful time of year with the multitude of autumnal golden hues in nature.
Chris Quinlan is very pleased to bring his first solo exhibition to the Atrium space in Mullingar. He hopes to share his unique, colourful, impressionistic and atmospherical collection with the people of the midlands. His intended goal for the exhibition
is to capture and communicate his local most influential experiences and illustrate his impressions to the viewers in order to draw his audience into
his various pieces; to stimulate and inspire them with its textures and colours.
The Artist loves promoting the beauty of the county which he calls home and share the beauty of the midlands with the rest of Ireland.
This exhibition of 24 impressionistic oil paintings runs from November 27th to December 8th 2017 in the Atrium exhibition space of the County Buildings
in Mullingar. The exhibition will be officially launched on Thursday 30th November at 6.00pm.
